Top Gun: The Second Mission, known as Top Gun: Duel Fighters in Japan, is a combat flight game developed and published by Konami and released on NES platforms on 1989. It is a sequel to the NES version of Top Gun.
Gameplay[]
The main mission (You against the world)[]
The player assumes the role of Maverick a Grumman F-14 Tomcat. His first mission is to destroy a Tupolev Tu-160 Blackjack. His second mission is to destroy a Mil Mi-24 Hind helicopter. His third mission is to destroy a VKK Space Orbiter. The F-14 has an auto-cannon and missiles that can lock on and destroy ground targets.
Dueling with the enemy[]
Another part of the game is to fight "The seven deadly pilots": Boris "Buzz" Bombzinsky, Gorky Skykovsky, Igor Gregovich, Demitri Jetsky, Bobo Bubushka, Stalin Fortimesky, and Fearless Leader: Cy Beeria.
