Lieutenant (junior grade) Ron "Slider" Kerner is a naval flight officer trained on the Grumman F-14 Tomcat and a graduate of TOPGUN. Slider is LT Tom "Iceman" Kazansky's radar intercept officer (RIO).
Biography
Top Gun
In the final engagement, Iceman and Slider shoot down one of the six MiG-28s. Another MiG-28 damaged their F-14, and that MiG was shot down by LT Pete "Maverick" Mitchell and LTJG Sam "Merlin" Wells.
Notes
- Slider has a rather cocky personality, similar to Iceman.
