The rogue nation is the unnamed country in Top Gun: Maverick.
Description[]
It is not known whereabout the rogue nation is located, however the landscape is very reminiscent to that of Central Asia due to the mountainous canyon region.
Military[]
The rogue nation's military use a mix of Warsaw Pact and NATO aircraft. Known aircraft are Sukhoi Su-57, Mil Mi-24 Hind, 5th generation fighter planes and the Grumman F-14A Tomcat. Their roundel is a red Phoenix bird.

- Based on geographic landscapes, types of aircraft, and the capability of enriching uranium, the rogue nation is presumed to be a fictional blend of countries such as Russia and Iran.
- Geographic landscapes: The nation is snowy and forested (a trait of Russia) and is notably very mountainous (similar to Iran)
- Types of aircraft: The rogue nation uses Russian Su-57 fifth-generation fighters and Mi-24 Hinds. While the Hind is used by dozens of countries, the Felons are not used by any nation other than Russia. In addition, the rogue nation also uses F-14 Tomcats, of which the only remaining operator is Iran.
- The rogue nation has a uranium enrichment program active. Iran infamously has an active nuclear program that involves enriching uranium.
